A career guidance seminar with the theme, “PRODUCTIVE CAREER CHOICE AND LABOR MARKET INFORMATION” was held on March 28, 2023, at the Divina Pastora Gymnasium, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Baggao (LGU) through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). The seminar was a valuable resource for students who are getting ready to move on to the next phase of their lives. In today’s world, choosing a career path can be difficult and confusing. This seminar was an excellent opportunity for students to learn about different career options and explore ways to make informed decisions for their future.
The speakers for the seminar, Ms. Mylene D. Pattung, and Ms. Mary Anne D. Bena, provided a wealth of information about the labor market and shared tips on how to navigate it successfully. They also shared inspiring success stories that highlighted the importance of hard work, determination, and perseverance in achieving career goals.
The seminar, attended by 300 Grade 12 students, also included discussions on opportunities for vocational and technical training, as well as post-secondary education. The speakers emphasized the importance of finding a balance between one’s interests, skills, and the demands of the job market.
Overall, the seminar on career guidance for Grade 12 students was a great success. It served as a valuable reminder that students have a bright future ahead of them, and with proper guidance, they can make informed career choices that lead to meaningful and productive lives. We thank the resource speakers, the LGU, and the PESO for their support in organizing this event, and look forward to future opportunities to support students in their academic and career journeys.
