St. Joseph’s College of Baggao, Inc. joined the weeklong virtual celebrations of the 1st National Higher Education Day and CHED’s 27th Founding Anniversary with the theme: “PADYAK! Moving Forward, Claiming Victory for Philippine Higher Education, PAMANTASAN: Pandayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran” from May 19-20, 2021.

SJCBI’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Roy D. Tumaneng formally opened the celebration expressing his high regard to the dynamic workforce of the commission. Further, he promised that the school shall remain true to its commitment to deliver quality education.
College students participated in the set activities, including essay writing, extemporaneous speaking, slogan making and poster making contests.
The following college students gathered championship awards in their respective categories: Jubilee Joy Borela (BSBA student) in essay writing, Elaine Daquioag (BLIS student) in extemporaneous speaking, Marielle Paulasa (BSBA student) in poster making and Roderick Antonio (BSED student) in slogan making.
Nhova Jose (CASTE student) and Scarlett Salazar (BSIT student) also captured 2nd and 3rdplace, respectively, in essay writing. Jerome Blanco (BSIT student) and Ronnie James Sagario (CASTE student) gained 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, in poster making. Further, Dee Jay Vicente (BSBA student) finished 2nd place in extemporaneous speaking. Moreover, Alaine Joyce Almazan (BSBA student) and Jayson Duca (BSCRIM Student) seized 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, in slogan making.
Meanwhile, SJCBI Campus Dean Alberto P. Calixto, Jr graced the celebration and an awarding ceremony concluded the event.
