A seminar on the participative learning method was conducted on August 12, 2020 by Fr. Gerry Perez assisted by the Parish staff at the Divina Pastora Gymnasium. The sessions, attended by 70 teachers of the Saint Joseph’s College of Baggao, Inc., were aimed to equip the attendees with facilitative and collaborative skills, knowledge and attitude to deliver the new modes of learning and instruction in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) on emerging infectious diseases has mandated that there would be no face to face learning until a vaccine would be discovered or invented. Hence, there is a need to adjust our methods to the new normal brought about by the new corona virus. The second objective of the seminar was to train the teachers to conduct the catechetical and formation modules of the parish at the neighborhood level. As part of their community engagement, the teachers are volunteering their time and energy to evangelize the Basic Ecclesial Communities in the Parish of San Jose Mangmangged.
