Rev. Aristotle Maggay: ‘The Annunciation of the Lord should be our inspiration to hope again’

Transitional deacon Rev. Aristotle Maggay, to be ordained this April 7 at Parokia San Jose Mangmangged, shared his reflection during the fiesta mass of the Annunciation of the Lord.

“Nothing is impossible for God. The annunciation of the Lord should water our soul. [It] should be our inspiration to hope again. It should [inspire] us to receive salvation and to announce the Good News to others,” Deacon Aristotle Maggay told Catholics on March 25.

Rev. Maggay is one of the six young men to be ordained to the Holy Order of Priesthood by Tuguegarao Archbishop Ricardo Baccay in the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.

The new deacons, after finishing their theological studies in the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan and philosophical studies in St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary in Aparri, assisted in parishes, archdiocesan schools and formation house after their ordination at Lyceum of Aparri last October 28, 2020.

Hailed from Awallan, Baggao, Dcn. Maggay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simplicio Maggay. Having Masters degree in Systematic Theology and Education, he presently holds teaching office at St. Joseph College of Baggao, Inc.

We continually pray that all ordained ministers be strengthened by God to work in humility and love during this time of pandemic.
