Birthday wishes are pouring in for the Parish Priest of Parokia San Jose Mangmangged and SJCBI President, as he celebrates his 58th birthday.

Amongst those who have sent their felicitations to Fr. Gerry is Tuguegarao Archdiocesan Schools’ System Superintendent and Rector of Ermita de San Jacinto Fr. Adalbert Barut, who described Fr. Gerry as the MVP (Most Valuable Priest) of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao and expressed his appreciation for Fr. Gerry’s good example as parish priest and SJCBI president.
Cagayan State University Vice President for Administration and Finance Fr. Ranhilio Aquino said that he admires Fr. Gerry, whom he called ‘insan’, for his zeal and leadership. Director of Lyceum of Tuao Fr. Samuel Baculi prayed for blessings and good health for Fr. Gerry.
Interdiocesan greetings have come in as well, Fr. Albert Rabe of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia and Parish Priest of St. William the Hermit in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, sent his Lenten birthday greetings, and Fr. June Castañeda of the Dioecese of Ilagan and Parish Priest of the Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Luna, Isabela, posting on FB, “Tagapián na ka paray na Diós ta aggaw na keyanâ mu, Ama!” (May the Lord bless and protect you on your birthday, Father!)
Birthday spent in Prayer and Charity
Fr. Gerry reflected in his homily the values of gratitude and generosity as he celebrated a fiesta mass of the Chair of St. Peter this morning. He said that the proper disposition of a gifted person is being thankful and is charitable in giving.

The SJCBI President spent the rest of the morning in the relocation area for ‘Project Salinong’, a housing assistance for the victims of the Typhoon Ulysses, sharing meals with the Taytay beneficiaries, volunteers, and workers.
The Parokia San Jose Mangmangged and SJCBI community prepared a simple lunch for Fr. Gerry together with his friends and other guests.
