After so many postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 40 college students of SJCBI graduated on July 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, in fitting ceremonies held at the St. Joseph Parish Church.

A baccalaureate mass was presided by the school president, Fr. Gerry Perez which was attended by the graduates, their parents and the faculty and staff of SJCBI. In his homily, Fr. Perez emphasized that the “SCJBI graduates should be bearers of God’s Word in the measure that they heed the cry of the poor, stop to bind their wounds, lift them up to their feet, empower them and give them voice.”

The graduation ceremonies followed the mass. Diplomas, Medals, Certificates of Merit and other awards were given. Following the health protocols imposed by the Inter-agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases, the celebration was considered simple but still meaningful. After the graduation rites, the graduates went home to celebrate with their families and friends. It is our prayer and hope that the graduates, imbued with Josephian education, will find their place under the sun and bloom wherever they settle in. Congratulations!
