The Business Administration Program of the College of Business and Management of SJCBI deployed its 19 student interns on February 2, 2022 at the Local Government Unit of Baggao.
Internships allow students to put what they’ve learned in class into practice in a real-world setting. Students are given relevant exposure with the help of training agencies. The student interns of the BSBA program were finally deployed to one of SJCBI’s agency training partners after the Local Chief Executive of the Local Government Unit of Baggao approves the letter of intent forwarded by the Dean of the College of Business and Management (CBM), Mr. Alberto P. Calixto Jr.

Sir Randy Duran, the OJT External Coordinator of LGU-Baggao, gave a pre-orientation to the student interns regarding their work hours, proper attires, and reminders on OJT policy. He also shared some job descriptions and possible issues or situations that they may be encountering during their trainings, and gave a little advice on proper handling.
Finally, the Head of the Human Resource, Ma’am Elena Tungpalan, together with the OJT Adviser of the BSBA program, Ma’am Gieselle M. Ponce, endorsed the student interns to the heads of their respective offices. They were deployed at the Treasury Office, Budget Office, Mayor’s Office, HR Section, Accounting Office, PESO, and Comelec. It is our prayer and hope that the student interns will learn new skills, disposition and knowledge at the workplace so that they can better navigate the real world that awaits them after graduation.
