Animated and driven by the philosophy, vision, mission and core values of the Saint Joseph’s College of Baggao, Inc., the Elementary School Department shall endeavor to achieve the following goals:

1. To provide an integral formation of the learners through relevant, robust and rigorous curriculum inspired by Gospel values and delivered by a community of professionally qualified, competent and committed school personnel.

2. To provide a carefully constructed, comprehensive program of courses, consistent with the Department of Education’s K to 12 curriculum which offers sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for high school education;
3. To provide pupils with a coherent body of knowledge in the different learning areas under the K to 12 curriculum, particularly Languages (including Mother Tongue), Arts and Humanities (Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH), Values Education, Social Studies; Science and Mathematics; as well as Technology and Livelihood Education;

4. To develop the pupils’ critical thinking abilities essential in decision making and solving problems, giving them sufficient time to master competencies as well as time for other learning opportunities beyond the classroom, thus allowing for a more holistic development;

5. To equip the pupils with creative skills to analyze and investigate life situations and consequently to address and cope with the challenges of life;

6. To prepare the pupils for lifelong learning by stimulating their interests, upgrading their skills and encouraging autonomous learning; and

7. To produce elementary school graduates who are well-prepared for high school education and who are ever mindful of the Josephian core values of faith, communion and service.
