Program Aims (PAs)
- Possess broad knowledge about Mathematics to recognize that mathematics permeates the world around us.
- Use and develop mathematical curiosity and use inductive and deductive reasoning when solving problems.
- Acquire extensive knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to pursue further studies in mathematics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using mathematics to analyse and solve problems both in school and in real-life situations.
- Shows competence in employing abstract, logical and critical thinking and the ability to reflect critically upon their work and the work of others.
- Use technology in facilitating Mathematics and be able to use the language, symbols and notation of mathematics in learning and teaching process.
- Inspire students and colleagues to lead relevant and transformative changes to improve learning and teaching.
- Use appropriate mathematical concepts and skills to solve problems in both familiar and unfamiliar situations including those in real-life contexts.

Upon completion of the program, the graduates should be able to:
A1. Acquire proficiency in problem-solving by solving and creating routine and non-routine problems with different levels of complexity;
A2. Explain and illustrate clearly, accurately, and comprehensively the mathematical concepts, using relevant examples as needed; and
A3. Analyze assessment results and use these as to improve learning.

Upon completion of the program, the graduates should be able to:
B1. Appreciate mathematics as an opportunity for creative work, moments of discovery, and gaining insights of the world;
B2.Use effectively appropriate approaches, methods, and techniques in teaching mathematics; and
B3.Demonstrate competence in designing, constructing and utilizing different forms of assessment in mathematics.

Upon completion of the program, the graduates should be able to:
C1. Exhibit competence in mathematical concepts and procedures;
C2.Execute proficiency in relating mathematics to other curricular areas; and
C3. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of mathematics.
