In a grand gathering of educational leaders and stakeholders, the annual CEAP REGIONAL ASSEMBLY convened on September 16, 2023, at Saint Joseph’s College of Baggao. This prestigious event brought together 250 delegates representing Catholic schools from across Region 2. Among the attendees were esteemed figures, including University and College Presidents, Administrators, dedicated Teachers, Parents, Alumni Members, and Student Leaders.
The assembly commenced with a solemn Mass, setting a spiritually enriching tone for the day. Afterward, the participants made their way to the Divina Pastora Gymnasium, where the core of the event unfolded.
Rev. Fr. Gerard Ariston Perez, the CEAP Regional Trustee and President of Saint Joseph’s College of Baggao, extended a warm welcome to all attendees through his opening remarks. Following this, Marissa Palomares, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, introduced the distinguished delegates.
The event continued with a message from the CEAP President, graced by the presence of CEAP Vice President Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep. Subsequently, Ms. Mary Ann Cruz, CEAP Deputy Executive Director, presented the National Office Report from November 2022 to September 2023
The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Ranhilio Aquino, Dean of the College of Law at San Beda University. His thought-provoking speech revolved around the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Exploring Pathways of Synodality.” Fr. Aquino emphasized the journey toward a common goal, stating, “Do not get off the bus unless you reach your destination! We are pilgrims and therefore on the way,” highlighting the significance of synodality in their mission.
Following this insightful address, participants engaged in breakout sessions, fostering meaningful discussions and collaboration. To honor the commitment and dedication of some attendees, plaques of recognition were presented to Jubilarians and New Members of the CEAP, marking a memorable and inspiring day at the CEAP REGIONAL ASSEMBLY 2023.
